Sh#t hits the fan

Just after commenting on the silly post on Dux Homunculorum, letting known how the Hungarian public education is down a slippery slope, news reached that there is apparently going to be a break-time on most universities from 20 Dec - 6 Jan. Because of deficiency of state funding, they will cancel heating to save money.
The period in which exams are being held to finish classes spans to 16 Dec to 1 Feb. There are usually appointments between 16-23 Dec and 3 Jan onwards. This is, from an optimist point of view, still one week shortage of time during the exam period. Now, a fella like me with 6 exams has little to no chance to put everything right to its place in the calendar. I'm planning to do the two most important exams (civil and constitutional law, both 5 credits) in December, that still leaves me a very uncomfortable amount of time to study for the rest.

Two journals shared the news and quoted the rector of ELTE (teaching history of law in our place btw) so I believe it is now quite official.

Also. Application for the exams will be delayed because the university decided to change the electronic administrative system mid-term. No, they've had the whole summer when flippin' nobody cared but they had to do it in the middle of November, one month til exams start. The new system is utter crap too and the FB pages and forums are full of whining how crap it is. At least three or four other universities use it (it's called Neptun and is as predictable as a darn Greek god) and any student there can tell this is a fact, yet it was advertised as updated and oh-so modern, now it cannot even list my timetable properly etc. etc.
Well, this hasn't got such an importance as the state cut to universities which will apparently get down to the students and we will be the ones who suck the most.

Update: The heads of the university and the faculty will make an actual decision on Monday. The assistant secretary of state of education told to one TV channel's news he supports the idea (talking about closing the campus, sending everyone on a mandatory holiday and switching off the heat).
