Seattle police said a man allegedly assaulted a woman Thursday in the Mount Baker neighborhood, then drove off with the woman's 11-month-old child after she escaped his car. That prompted an Amber Alert before the child was found.

Darnell Lewis Jr., 19, has been charged with first-degree assault, accused of shooting at a motorcyclist leaving a TikTok party at Golden Gardens Park. The motorcyclist was uninjured but a bullet ricocheted and struck his friend in the face. A second man was charged with drive-by shooting, court records show.
